Scripture reminds us that the mission of God is never carried alone. From the early church to today, the Holy Spirit continues to move through people who are united in purpose and empowered for mission. As the Apostle Paul wrote, “We are co-workers in God’s service” (1 Cor. 3:9). Together, we advance the gospel — not by our own strength, but through the power of the Holy Spirit who multiplies every faithful step of obedience.

This past year, the Church Multiplication and Discipleship (CMAD) team of The Wesleyan Church (TWC) has witnessed the beauty of collaboration in motion. Across districts and local churches, leaders have joined hearts and hands to plant new churches, disciple new believers and strengthen existing ministries. Through prayer, innovation and partnership, God is advancing a movement that is multiplying hope and transforming communities — together.

Our Next Gen department, led by Reverend Santes Beatty, fosters connections among Next Gen leaders. A grant from the Church Multiplication Collective facilitated a shark tank event, awarding funds to Wesleyan leaders based on their innovative multiplication-driven ministry pitches. The team champions districts and local churches through the EMPOWERED Tour (FOLLOW regional conferences), where the next gen encounters God and is empowered to live into their calling. Next Gen leaders gather each month virtually for fellowship and equipping, sharing ministry expertise to enrich the denomination’s leaders. TWC’s Kids in Worship Initiative selected 22 churches from across the nation to collaborate on children’s ministry curriculum and foster a fuller expression of kingdom worship and prayer. Our Discipleship department, led by Reverend Katie Lance, has been focused on helping leaders develop a culture of disciple-making within their churches. With enthusiasm, the Discipleship team is carrying forward these valuable resources (also in Spanish) from 2025 into 2026: WeDisciple app is an everyday disciple-making, all-in-one guide; the ever-growing Wesleyan Worship Collective for relational connection and resourcing; monthly webinars that resource pastors with vital information, sermon series kits, a new learning community cohort called Cultivate: Growing a Disciple-Making Culture; and RightNow Media FREE access for all pastors! For more information, go to wesleyan.org/discipleship.

Our Multiplication department, led by Reverend Jesse Pratt, has been helping leaders lean into an Acts 1:8 movement. The Church Multiplication Collective (CMC) has introduced several new cohorts for multipliers: Revitalization Cohort for established churches looking to move into a new season of multiplication, Thrive Cohort for urban multipliers, the Lydia Leaders Cohort for women who are lead pastors and the Reproducing Networks Cohort for leaders creating church planting networks. Additionally, the CMC built on the Multipliers Journey, with over 60 churches having completed the process so far, aiding churches across every district in creating a multiplication culture and contextually refining their Acts 1:8 strategies. For more information, go to https://wesleyan.org/multiplication.

Our New Church Development (NCD) department, under the leadership of Aimee Pratt, continues to connect, resource and network leaders as they lean into the church planting systems available through TWC. Along with assessing, coaching and training church planters, NCD is focusing on the resource development for our Alternate Expression Church leaders (micro, house, dinner, business to ministry churches) as well as providing specific focus on Soul Care and Mental Health opportunities and resources. It is NCD’s prayer and desire to continue supporting both church plant systems and church planters in many different areas and zip codes. For more information, go to wesleyan.org/multiplication.

Hephzibah62:4 (a subsidiary of TWC), under the leadership of Jodi Lewis, provides local church coaching, equipping resources, financial support and a collaborative community of Wesleyans committed to transforming the lives of vulnerable children. Since their relaunch in 2019 they have provided over $370K in grant funding for adoptions, family support, training and conferences, helping under-resourced ministries both in church plants and established churches. A highlight of 2025 has been establishing a portable Hephzibah62:4 Calming Space to help make Wesleyan Next Gen events, like the Empowered Tour, more welcoming and inclusive of students impacted by special sensory needs. Visit hephzibah.org/churches to learn how your church can benefit from and help build momentum as a part of the Hephzibah62:4 movement. For more information, go to Hephzibah.org.

Without a doubt, from the CMAD viewpoint, TWC is headed in the right direction — transforming lives, churches and communities with the hope and holiness of Jesus Christ. We are confident God will continue to do great things through our diverse Kingdom Force as we follow the Holy Spirit’s lead and remain on mission!
