The General Board on June 19, 2025, elected Dema Koloda as Interim General Treasurer/Chief Financial Officer effective June 23, 2025. General Treasurer/Chief Financial Officer Jennifer Rouse completed her service on June 21, 2025.
Koloda was recommended by General Superintendent Wayne Schmidt, in consultation with Rouse and with the support of the Executive Board, after a review of his service and performance as The Wesleyan Church controller.
A Certified Public Accountant, Koloda earned a Master of Accounting and Audit degree from Kyiv National University of Economics, Ukraine. He has more than 28 years’ experience in finance, including auditing, taxation, deal structuring, asset management, collections and oversight of a $150 million investment portfolio. Koloda joined The Wesleyan Church Finance team in July 2024.
“I’m pleased about the unique areas of expertise Dema brings to the CFO role and Executive Cabinet team, and for his willingness to step in as an interim member of Executive Cabinet and the Finance Office team leader,” said Schmidt. “Dema’s CFO leadership will be supplemented by contracted services from Awaken CPA, Rouse’s new accounting firm. I am grateful for the stability this partnership provides The Wesleyan Church throughout this transition.”
