Peacemakers who sow in peace raise a harvest of righteousness. (James 3:18)

PEACEMAKERS DON’T JUST MAKE PEACE. They multiply it, and that leads to a harvest of right standing with God. Multiplication is far more powerful than addition. For example, if you were given the choice between choosing either ten thousand dollars a day for thirty days or a penny on day one with the amount doubled, which would you choose? If you chose the ten thousand dollars a day you would feel great about receiving 300,000 dollars—until you watched the power of multiplication kick in and realized that second option would have produced 5 million dollars more by day thirty! Truly, multiplication is a powerful concept that pays great dividends over time.

According to James, the principle of multiplication is at work with those who sow peace. Sow peace and you will raise a harvest of right standing with God, which is exponentially greater than what you sowed.

The world’s way of thinking may tempt you to lose your peace, but we serve the prince of peace, Jesus. His peace transcends our circumstances and allows us to live as peacemakers that help others experience peace in our world.

Each and every day, we have the opportunity to receive His peace and sow it in our world. Are you a peacemaker? May we all receive His peace and multiply it today.

Multiply peace this week.
