A local ministry in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, South America has officially been welcomed into The Wesleyan Church (TWC).
Over 160 participants attended the five-day event, August 18-22, 2016, which carried the theme “Amplifying Mission.” Rev. José McKella, superintendent of The Wesleyan Church-Panama (left in the photo), spoke on marriage and family. Rick West (standing next to Pastor McKella), coordinator for the Ibero-America Wesleyan Fellowship, presented a historical sketch of The Wesleyan Church. Rev. Carlos Martinez, superintendent of TWC-Chile and regional director for the Southern Cone of South America (pictured right), preached powerful evangelistic messages on Saturday night and Sunday morning, and 18 people placed their faith in Jesus.
Fervent prayers for physical healing resulted in the witness to divine healing. The presence and power of the Holy Spirit was evident during the entire celebration. At the close of the five-hour Sunday morning service, Rev. Carlos Martinez presented a certificate and the right hand of fellowship into The Wesleyan Church to Rev. and Mrs. Arnoldo Becerra, leader of the ministry in Bolivia. There were 165 who people who attended.
Near the event’s conclusion, Pastor Elena from Panama shared a seminar with 37 ladies. The congregation now known as La Iglesia Wesleyana Misión Urubó was planted in September 2011 as an independent church.
