Omar Haedo, graduate of Wesleyan Academy in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, is one of many people working with Wesleyan churches and World Hope International to provide care for Hurricane Maria victims. He took time this week during the Houghton College Board Meeting to appeal to The Wesleyan Church to continue its help.

According to Haedo, the Caribbean is facing a “human catastrophe with 85 percent of the people without food, power and water.” Funds are being used to buy and deliver supplies directly to Wesleyan churches identified as certified relief centers. Censuses taken by Wesleyan leaders ensures supplies are distributed wisely and fairly.

Haedo is the owner of Elan Insurance Group and a partner in MASA International. He is a faithful supporter of Immigrant Connection and Houghton College.
