Everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name. (Acts 10:43)

MY HUSBAND’S COUSIN, Stephen, a pastor of a large Wesleyan church in Greely, Colorado, tells the powerful story of God miraculously healing Stephen’s mother-in-law. It makes me cry every time I hear the story, not only because this woman was given a second chance, but because it shows that God is present, working in our lives today. How sweet it is to know He cares! Even though the miracle seems impossible by human standards, I believe it truly happened. I believe not only because I trust God, but also because I trust Stephen. His account is trustworthy. He is a reliable witness to God’s work.

When the disciples told of all Jesus did, and of His death and resurrection, they were doing the same thing Stephen did: providing a trustworthy account so that we might believe. Not only were they there to see it all happen, they experienced the Holy Spirit coming upon them, empowering them to do His work.

Listen, my friends, the end is near! Jesus will return again and claim His own. Do you believe the witnesses who claim that Jesus is the one “all the prophets [testified about] that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins”? If so, then it’s time to be made right with God. Don’t wait another day.

Read the book of Acts to be reminded of God’s miraculous power.
