In less than a year, hundreds of Wesleyan church pastors and their spouses will come together at The Gathering 2019 to reconnect, celebrate God’s faithfulness and leave renewed. Plans are progressing for the quadrennial event set to take place at the Caribe Royale in Orlando, Florida, January 9 – 12, 2019.

The Gathering 2019 theme, We Thrive, guides programming intended to encourage pastors and attendees to rest, recognize the Sabbath, reflect on all God is doing in their lives and ministries, pray and play. For three days, Wesleyan clergy and spouses will be able to participate in interactive worship sessions and hear notable speakers that will inspire, influence and motivate.

“We hope and pray The Gathering will again provide a chance for our Wesleyan clergy family to experience a collective soul Sabbath that helps us all thrive in our lives and ministry,” said Russ Gunsalus, executive director of Education and Clergy Development (ECD). ECD is hosting the event.

Here’s what previous attendees have said about The Gathering:

  • “The Gathering was such a blessing. I can’t think of anything more you could have offered.”
  • “The speakers, worship leaders and information given regarding The Wesleyan Church were upbeat, exciting, encouraging and energizing.”
  • “It was a great … time to connect with other Wesleyans in similar positions. It felt very much like a good family reunion. It was a joy to be together.”
