A beloved minister within The Wesleyan Church, Rev. Ronald Walker lived a life of love for God and people. “We are the beneficiaries of that love,” said Dan Bickel, current district superintendent.
Lonnie E. Galyon, Sr., age 89, district superintendent emeritus of the Tennessee District of The Wesleyan Church, died on November 19, 2014.
Rev. Paul Augustine Wheeler, former district superintendent, passed away in Lynchburg, Va., on August 11, 2014.
The Kentucky-Tennessee District elected a new district superintendent on June 28. Rev. Aaron Sherman had been serving as interim D.S. for the previous four months.
The Wesleyan Church welcomes Dr. Matthew “Matt” Pickering as Central New York District’s new district superintendent, elected by the district conference on June 14 by a unanimous vote.
Dr. Karl Eastlack and Rev. Anita Eastlack were elected as co-district superintendents by an overwhelming vote in the Penn-Jersey District, and also were given an extended call by an overwhelming vote.
Rev. Don Hodgins has quite the “ministry resume.” As the district superintendent retires he is known for his humility, character, and faithful service to The Wesleyan Church.
With Karl Westfall’s upcoming retirement as district superintendent of the Northwest District, perhaps it is a very appropriate time to say “thank you” to Karl and Sharon for a lifetime of ministry.
